Migration and diversity are part of everyday's life in Vienna, just as in any other European metropolitan.
The photo exhibition OPENCities Faces
explores the openness of eight European cities and portrays the people behind the immigration statistics. In Vienna, the photographer Martin Fuchs has searched companies which are run by immigrants. His journey has taken him from stores selling traditional Austrian dresses to Polish books and to American hip hop fashion.

in Generali Center last week turned out as a huge success, and continues with full power to its next rounds of swapping & restyling. Each can swap his/her fashion items, and if wished, recycle, re-style and pimp it up with a professional help from the designer Walter Lunzer. Sewing machines and accessories will be available for your convenience.

Green fashion is a much celebrated topic in all recent fashion weeks and also in the press. But what happens after the shows? The renowned magazine modeafFAIRe
has created an online petition that aims to enhance the focus on fair fashion also in public life.
The website collects signatures under the slogan Faire Mode find'ich gut!
, so that socio-ecological fashion will be more apparent in trade and in everyday assortments. The campaign is supported by prominent signatures and fashion chains who really aim to change the textile industry.

The film Women’s Cot (Nigeria 2005) will be premiered as part of the collaboration between Filmarchiv
and the exhibition African Lace
. The film, directed by Dickson Iroegbu, tells a story of a movement that started off as an NGO for widows, quickly turned into a full scale cult that encourages women to kill their husbands to join up and become wealthy.
