Iconic Recycling Project
Image

An ambitious project by the University of Prague, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design sees 12 of its students tackle the controversial task of reviving a fashion house. Following in the footsteps of some of the biggest fashion design icons, the aspiring talents have created 35 pieces altogether, reinventing the style, feel, and aesthetics of Saint Laurent or Yohji Yamamoto. The designs have already been around the world, but for the first time ever in Vienna, they will also be up for sale. Come see how the students stood up to the challenge!

No liability is taken for wardrobe

The master students of the trailblazing Angewandte programme ECM: Educationg/ Curating/ Managing, are not ones to superficially scrape the surface of art and fashion issues, but delve deeper into the important questions instead. Join them for a now ongoing exhibition and discussion project which digs up the underlying drives behind fashion production, the way fashion shapes us, the angles from which it is criticised, or what our powers are within it. The ‘Textile Quarter’ becomes the centerpoint of the project, bringing in local collaborators and shedding some light on their growth. At the Angewandte Innovation Lab, there will be curators’ talks, music, and performances, so make sure you tell your friends and enjoy some fashion discourse together!
