LOEWE Craft Prize 2019 – Submissions open


The LOEWE Foundation calls for applications for its prestigious artisanal Craft Prize, open for talented craftsmen globally.

All professional artisans within the area of applied arts, such as ceramics, bookbinding, enamelwork, jewellery, lacquer, metal, furniture, leather, textiles, glass, paper, wood, etc. can now apply for the LOEWE Craft Prize 2019. The Prize, launched in 2016 aims to showcase and celebrate newness, excellence and artistic merit in modern craftsmanship. Acknowledging the importance of craft in today’s culture, the LOEWE Craft Prize seeks to support international artisans who demonstrate an exceptional ability to create objects of superior aesthetic value. The Prize for the winning entry is 50,000 euros, and the winning work selected by the Jury, as well as the works of the finalists selected by the Experts Panel will be included in an exhibition and accompanying catalogue “LOEWE Craft Prize 2019”, on view in Japan.
