Friendly New Products - Designprozesse Neu Denken

AUSTRIANFASHION.NET ist an der Schnittstelle von Mode, Kunst und Design positioniert. Mit der Entwicklung einer kollaborativen Produktlinie verortet sich die Nonprofit-Organisation im Transformationsprozess zu nachhaltigen Materialien und Produktionsweisen und sucht kreative Denker*innen, die bereit sind, daran mitzuwirken. Zur Teilnahme aufgerufen sind Künstler*innen, Designer*innen, Handwerker*innen sowie Produktionsstätten und Unternehmen aus den Bereichen Mode, Textil, Produktdesign, Schmuck und Skulptur.
Die Bewerber*innen sollen eine Vision für eine neue Ästhetik für nachhaltige Designprodukte verfolgen, sowie Interesse am Erfahrungsaustausch und gemeinsamen Problemlösungen haben. Die Produktionsprozesse werden ausführlich dokumentiert und für unterschiedliche Medien aufbereitet, damit eine hohe mediale Aufmerksamkeit für alle Teilnehmer*innen gewährleistet ist. Die Kosten werden von AUSTRIANFASHION.NET getragen: Von der Produktion über Marketing und Pressearbeit bis hin zur Durchführung der Co-Creation Workshops.
Bei den Co-Creation Workshops handelt es sich um ein eigens ausgearbeitetes Format. Sowohl die Materialbeschaffung als auch die Kooperationspartner und der Produktionsprozess werden gemeinsam bestimmt. Auch ob das Produkt kommerziell oder experimentell sein soll, wird kollektiv beschlossen. Alle weiteren Modalitäten werden im Workshop festgelegt.

Die geeigneten Teilnehmer werden von AUSTRIANFASHION.NET verständigt. Sollten Sie keine Zusage bekommen, so liegt das nicht an Ihren Interessen und Fähigkeiten, sondern an den spezifischen Anforderungen der Projekte. Da wir ein kleines Team sind, können wir nicht alle Anfragen beantworten. Sollten Sie dennoch ein spezifisches Feedback benötigen, so schreiben Sie uns.
Das Designkonzept wird unterstützt von der Österreichischen Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft FFG, vom Bundesministerium für Kunst, Kultur, öffentlichen Dienst und Sport und wurde beim Creatives for Vienna 2021 Wettbewerb der Wirtschaftsagentur Wien prämiert.

Friendly New Products – Rethinking Design Processes
AUSTRIANFASHION.NET is at the interface of fashion, art and design. Now developing a collaborative product line, the non-profit organisation places itself in the transformation process towards sustainable materials and production methods and is looking for creative thinkers who are prepared to contribute to this. Invited to participate are artists, designers, artisans as well as production facilities and companies from the fields of fashion, textiles, product design, jewellery and sculpture.
Applicants should have a vision for new aesthetics for sustainable design products as well as an interest in exchanging experiences and collaborative problem solving. The production processes will be extensively documented and prepared for various media in order to ensure a high level of media attention for all participants. The entire costs will be borne by AUSTRIANFASHION.NET – from production to marketing and press work to the implementation of the co-creation workshops.
The co-creation workshops are a specially developed format. The material sourcing as well as the choice of collaboration partners and processing techniques will be jointly decided. Whether the product is to be commercial or experimental will also be decided collectively. All other modalities will be determined in the workshop.

The design concept is supported by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport; it also received an award in the Creatives for Vienna 2021 competition of the Vienna Business Agency.
