Sports/No Sports

The changes in society mapped through the sports evolution in fashion.

An exhibition exploring the correlation between fashion and sportswear with a focus on social, formal and aesthetic contexts, is taking place at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (MKG), with over 150 articles of clothing, prints, posters, photographs and films, on display. The extensive presentation is shedding light on the development of fashion, sportswear and changing body ideals as well as the influence of textile technology on clothing. What’s more, the Another Austria 2016 participant Flora Miranda is featured with her Warp outfit. Go see it if you can!
